46,666 People Affected After Hackers Hit Healthcare Firm – Company Warns Data Currently On Dark Web In ‘Low Numbers’


Thousands of people have been affected by medical incidents involving patient information.

According to the new reservation and the Maine Attorney General, the Alabama Heart South Cardiovascular Group incident affected 46,666 people, including three Maine residents. The company said it learned on November 11, 2025 that an unauthorized party claimed to have access to company information.

However, the company says it later discovered that a malicious actor had recently posted “a small amount” of patient information on the dark web. The company said the affected information could include full names including one or more of the following: Social Security numbers, dates of birth, treatments, procedures, illnesses, medications and health insurance information.

It also said it could not confirm whether any personal information was affected. The company says that the affected people were identified on February 12, 2026 and the notifications began to be released in April 2026.

Heart South also offers data analysis services, the law firm said he started investigation into the incident.
