Offering anonymous eSIM plans at last 200 countrieslost and stolen phone numbers to verify SMS, access to WireGuard VPN and anonymous AI chat tools, LNVPN has surpassed its predecessor. The company has grown into a privately owned business.
The company started in 2022 as LNVPN. The service grew rapidly. Users prefer long-term flexibility without accounts or contracts. In 2023 the company won the price in 2023 bolt.fun hackathon and add SMS verification services. Users pay a Lightning invoice for a lost phone number and receive a one-time verification code. The process works HODL ratings so that if the code does not arrive, the payment will be returned automatically.
The company later introduced eSIM data plans available in over 200 countries. Customers buy fixed data bundles that can be activated anonymously. The rental phone numbers were tracked last November. This allows users to rent a unique phone number for three, six or nine months to receive unlimited SMS without creating an account. Rental numbers are currently only available in the United Kingdom, with United States numbers planned for May. The group also introduced an anonymous AI chat that does not require registration or login and is free to use.

In early 2025, a US government contractor Conduent was victimized by ransomware which affected the personal history and health of more than 25 million Americans. In January 2026, cryptocurrency hardware wallet developer Ledger said that the names of customers and related information was exposed as a result of a breach of its payment policy by the third party Global-e. Such events often end identity theftas stolen information such as names, emails, addresses and health or financial information can be used to open fraudulent accounts, submit false tax returns or pose as victims.
