What It Means For Crypto Prices

Samsung has put stablecoins on way about Samsung Wallet. The announcement came at Galaxy Unpacked 2026 on July 22, and will put the dollar-based digital currency within an app that is already installed on millions of devices. Samsung says the move will make it one of the largest mobile companies to support stablecoins in mobile devices.

That is a very important issue to publish. Also, at this point, advertising is not a thing – and the distinction is even more important when you start asking what it does to prices.

Samsung Stablecoins: What did Samsung announce?

At the Galaxy Unpacked event, Samsung said that its in-house wallet program will also include support for stablecoins, positioning Wallet as the “fundamental connection” for Galaxy devices and services, bringing payments, rewards and digital assets in certain situations.

The demo on stage showed a USDC account with sending, receiving and adding functions. Samsung has yet to confirm a partnership with a stablecoin provider.

It arrived packed with concrete material. Samsung launched Galaxy Card in the US with Barclays and Visa – the first financial product built around Samsung Wallet. The card offers 5% cash back on certain purchases at Samsung stores along with other products. An example here is worth noting: card is sending, stablecoin support is writing.

Is this crypto-user crypto on the way?

Samsung’s global Galaxy install base is often placed in the region of a billion devices, and that’s the ceiling this article is talking about. But Samsung Wallet itself is not available everywhere – it works in about 30 to 40 markets, and the Galaxy Card that is launching along with the announcement is US-only. One estimate created a system that could account for 241 million Galaxy phones.

Samsung has not confirmed the timing or the regional release plan. Stablecoin regulations differ greatly across its markets, and this alone makes global exchange impossible. The US, where the Galaxy Card partnership with Barclays is launching, is the first target.

So: a ceiling of billions of devices, a small-to-many-to-many ceiling on the horizon, and zero real audience until Samsung ships.

Why is this more important than the previous Samsung crypto exchange?

Because it changes the contents of the bag and not what is related to it.

Samsung has been around crypto for years. It shipped a cryptocurrency wallet with hardware-backed security in the Galaxy S10 back in 2019, and integrated Coinbase One into Samsung Wallet in the US to give millions of consumers an easy way to get into crypto.

But giving access to users buy Bitcoin through an affiliate program is one thing. Putting a digital currency equivalent to a dollar in a central wallet is a completely different idea.

Stablecoins are usually within crypto – around the middle exchange and platforms that ordinary users do not touch at all. A built-in slot in the wallet app that comes pre-installed on the phone removes one major barrier to the switch: no one has to download anything, sign anything, or learn what the seed is.

The pressure of competition is the other half of the story. Apple, which banned NFC access on iPhones until EU pressure forced a change, has announced that there is no stablecoin integration for Apple Wallet. If Samsung deploys this on a large scale, rival manufacturers and wallet providers will face pressure to move faster than planned.

How will this affect crypto prices in the short term?

This is where spreading information gets messy, so let’s explain exactly how it works.

The establishment of Stablecoin is not a direct demand on Bitcoin. Someone adding USDC to buy coffee is not buying BTC. They cannot buy BTC. This demand creates a flow of dollar-denominated tokens, and issuing more USDC means that Circle buys long-term Treasury – not more crypto.

Shipping to product prices is not straightforward and works in three ways:

1. Fixed shares charge fees. Stablecoin price changes have to settle somewhere. Whatever Samsung drives the volume — Ethereum, its L2s, Solana, or something else — it could see real demand rather than speculative demand. This is the clearest long-term link to the product, and it’s based on technical decisions that Samsung hasn’t revealed.

2. Donors are direct beneficiaries. Circle’s listed equity (CRCL) is more reflective of these trades than any other index. Stablecoins already have more than $320 billion in market capitalization, dominated by USDT and USDC. Distribution through the top two smartphone vendors moves that number.

3. Bone effects – slow, specific, unknown. Users who have stablecoins in an app they already trust are more likely to buy stablecoins than users who don’t have anything. In the past, that’s how the adoption of crypto trading has worked: stablecoin first, speculation second. But this works for many years, not a quarter, and no one can put a number on the number of conversions.

And for how long?

The honest answer is that these types of promotional announcements have a bad reputation for showing up in price tags for any marketer who cares.

Samsung has not revealed which stablecoins will be supported or when the feature will be rolled out globally. Until these two questions are answered, this is an indicator of where fintech consumers are going, not a catalyst.

What changes is the systemic conflict. The case for stablecoins as means of payment – rather than as collateral for trade – is made even stronger when an immutable wallet on hundreds of millions of phones supports them. Visa and blockchain data firm Allium now publish on-chain stablecoin volumes, showing how fiat-backed tokens have already moved beyond trading into payment infrastructure.

For anyone interested in this: check the launch date, issuer name, chain, and initial market listing. These four points will tell you whether this is a topic or a business.

It is also important to look closely, that the current market is not about raising children. $ Bitcoin and about $63,900 and down about 27% year-on-year, with the Fed’s 28-29 July leading meeting. The road thing in setting up the phone will not succeed.
