Elon Musk’s X launches Smart Cashtag for crypto and stocks, adds one-stop trading opportunities through Wealthsimple.


Elon Musk’s X has released Smart Cashtag, a new product that allows users to see real-time and crypto data without giving up their time, according to head of product Nikita Bier.

cash tag, the first one was identified in January, it is available to iPhone users in the US and Canada. This tool integrates stocks and cryptotickers into price charts and other documents within the software.

These changes allow users to invest in assets or smart contracts, reducing confusion between crypto, stocks, and other instruments.

When users search or submit a keshitag or contract address, X will automatically display matches to ensure accuracy. Clicking on the cashtag icon will display chat and market data without leaving the platform, as Bier said.

The establishment promotes the growth of X as an important economic center.

X adds one-tap trading opportunities to Canadian users

Bier also announced a pilot partnership with Wealthsimple that will allow Canadian users to sell directly from Cashtag.

Starting today, when users buy a stock or crypto ticker on X, they go to Wealthsimple to complete the transaction.

A run is made as a one-time transition from conversation to order entry. Users select the cashtag in posts or search results, and are taken to a business page that is pre-populated with matching properties on Wealthsimple.

The change is part of X’s attempt to connect market information and performance, reducing conflicts between content and marketing.

The pilot is an early preview of other financial products to come, X’s chief marketing officer said.

X Money, a payment and financial services platform, is expected to roll out its public access this month, as confirmed and Musk.

Designed for competing services like Venmo and PayPal, X Money aims to support transfers, wallets, cards, and account management as part of a broader push to create a single platform.
