A new releases and making that he tracks the nuances of bitcoin four years in a cycle with David Bailey – the founder of BTC Inc. and chairman and CEO of Nakamoto Inc. (NASDAQ: NAKA) – through what the filmmaker, Parker Worthingtondescribes it as one of the most important topics in the history of BTC.
“It’s been a long time coming,” Worthington said at Bitcoin Magazine’s live panel at Bitcoin Conference 2026.
The documentary is called tentatively This Time Is Different and was created in collaboration with Michael Markle. The project began as a Bitcoin payment analysis document, originally mapped in 2024 around an open payment platform.
But the volume grew after Worthington began making several trips to shoot with Bailey’s team, the first in Puerto Rico, where initial discussions about taking the company public — at the time still only mentioned — had just begun.
The initial rumors soon became the main story of the film. Next was the public launch of Nakamoto Inc., created through a change integration with KindlyMD and with the help of raising nearly $710 million – at the time among the largest PIPE investments ever tied to a financial firm.
The documentary aims to capture all the events of four years, which included the ups and downs of the creation of a public Bitcoin company, the stability that comes with the responsibilities of the SEC, and the courage it takes to manage a bear market when you are doing a multi-institutional integration process.
“I’m glad you got it on camera so people can see the passion that goes into this business,” David Bailey, CEO of Nakamoto, said on the live desk. “Many people say that bitcoin people got lucky…
Worthington said Bitcoin Magazine that what may seem chaos from the outside shows more deliberate and complex issues than any stock ticker alone shows – he points to Bitcoin Magazine, UTXO Management, BTC Inc., and Nakamoto, a wide range of journalists and cash hands as proof of the work of trading with real money and arrival.
A release window of winter 2027 has been discussed, although the project will continue until 2028 depending on the state of the crypto market.
The video is expected to be long and able to be distributed through the streaming platform. Worthington and the team expressed interest in installing it as a stand-alone piece before looking at any color.
Bitcoin Magazine is published by BTC Inc., a subsidiary of Nakamoto Inc. (NASDAQ: NAKA).
