Nvidia is putting deep roots in Israel. BST Group has been appointed to build a new chipmaker tower in the northern Israeli city of Yokneam, a project worth NIS 170 million (about $47 million at current prices).
Partial deployment of the platform is expected in 2027, with full deployment in 2028.
Nvidia is expanding its footprint in Israel
Nvidia previously signed a 10-year contract worth NIS 230 million with Melisron for 29,000 square meters in the same area. All told, Nvidia’s footprint in Israel now includes 68,000 square meters in Yokneam.
The company is planning a massive 160,000 square meter campus near Kiryat Tivon, a facility designed to house 10,000 employees.
The Mellanox partnership
In 2019, Nvidia acquired Mellanox Technologies for $6.9 billion. Mellanox, based in Yokneam, has advanced technology for social networking, a type of architecture that integrates GPUs in data centers and creates large-scale AI training. The acquisition gave Nvidia valuable technology and workers in Israel.
What does this mean for investors?
Between the 68,000 square meters in Yokneam and the Kiryat Tivon campus of 160,000-square-meters, Nvidia is creating opportunities for employees that can reach tens of thousands in Israel alone. BST Group will get a NIS 170 million construction contract, Melisron has a NIS 230 million long-term lease, and Israel’s northern technology corridor will get another double anchor.
