Leopold Aschenbrenner, who is known as one of the youngest billionaires and a former member of the board OpenAI research team, has just revealed one of their biggest assets.
According to the latest Prepare 13G files issued on May 27 by Aschenbrenner’s Situational Awareness Fund, the young entrepreneur owns 12.4 million shares in Nebius (NASDAQ: NBIS).
This position represents a stake of 5.6%, making the fund one of the largest holdings in the manufacturing technology sector (AI) company.
At the last price of $ 208.37, the site is worth about $ 2.6 billion, which sent NBIS to sell 12% in pre-market trading.

Nebius becomes Leopold Aschenbrenner’s boss
Currently, Nebius is the largest wallet. The other prominent roles it includes different types of AI, power, and statistical betting.
For example, the second largest publicly traded company in the group is Bloom Energy (NYSE: BE), valued at $878.7 million. Other similar investments include Sandisk (NASDAQ: SNDK ), at $724.4 million, and CoreWeave (NASDAQ: CRWV ), at $556.1 million.
Also worth mentioning is Aschenbrenner’s presentation of Bitcoin (BTC) through the mining industry and the energy sector. For example, its previous 13F filings disclosed positions in Iren Limited (NASDAQ: IREN ), Core Scientific (NASDAQ: CORZ ), and CleanSpark (NASDAQ: CLSK ).
Some of his notable bets include various semiconductor and AI names, in particular AMD (NASDAQ: AMD), Intel (NASDAQ: The price of INTC shares), and Micron (NASDAQ: IN).

Nebius stock is rising
As reported, Nebius stock rose 12% in pre-market trading on May 28, following the disclosure. The reason for the outburst was probably because Nebius was already excited.
Indeed, the company reported Q1 2026 revenue of $399 million, up 684% year-on-year, and raised its 2026 capacity guidance from 3 GW to 4 GW.
So, companies like Citizens and DA Davidson have them added their Nebius treesChallenging a company’s reputation for ‘hyper-growth’ provides a significant competitive advantage.
In other words, Aschenbrenner’s endorsement was just one more addition to the list of ‘Buy’ predictions that have come this year.
