Up to $3,500 for Every Person Who Comes Out as Krispy Kreme Sues 161,676 Americans for Data Breach


Krispy Kreme has agreed to pay more than a million dollars to compensate those affected by the data breach.

According to the property management portal, the donut chain and coffeehouse will to pay $1.6 million to settle a lawsuit filed after 161,676 current and former employees were exposed by hackers in November 2024.

Those affected by the data breach will receive up to $3,500 in damages for overseas losses due to the breach. People with no losses can order up to $75, and all eligible members also get one year of free analysis.

Krispy Kreme denies any wrongdoing as part of the proposed settlement.

Applications must be submitted online or mailed no later than June 22nd. Withdrawals or objections must be made on June 6th, and the final approval will be established on July 6th.

Last year, Krispy Kreme said that an unknown actor had gained unauthorized access to the company’s business technology, stealing many types of data, including names, Social Security numbers, dates of birth and driver’s license or ID numbers. The company sent notices in June 2025 to those affected.

“On November 29, 2024, Krispy Kreme became aware of unauthorized activity in an area of ​​information technology. Upon learning of the unauthorized activity, we immediately took steps to investigate, classify, and correct the incident with the help of leading cyber security experts.
