Stanley Druckenmiller, a wealthy and well-known hedge fund, is pouring millions of dollars into four stocks that are worth more than half a year.
According to the SEC documentsDruckenmiller’s family office, Duquesne Family Office, invested about $68.15 million in the first quarter in four stocks that have risen between 236% and 623% since the first year.
The four stocks are flash memory and data storage firm SanDisk (NASDAQ: SNDK ), data storage company Seagate Technology Holdings (NASDAQ: STX ), chip designer Arm Holdings (NASDAQ: ARM ) and memory Micron Technology (NASDAQ: MU ).
SanDisk is trading at $1,716 at the time of writing, up 623% year over year. Seagate Technology Holdings is changing hands at $927, up 236% year-to-date.
Arm Holdings is trading at $402 at the time of writing, up 268% year over year. Micron Technology is trading at $1,064 at the time of writing, up 273% since the beginning of the year.
Among its multimillion-dollar investments in semiconductor stocks, the Duquesne Family Office also lost nearly $200 million worth of stock in four Fortune 500 companies in the first quarter.
Specifically, the Duquesne Family Office dropped about $120.81 million in Google parent company Alphabet (NASDAQ: GOOG ), $45.17 million in Delta Air Lines (NYSE: DAL ), $24.17 million in Goldman Sachs (NYSE: GS ) and $9.81 million in American Airlines (AALNAS).
