A US bank has collapsed due to a security breach that has put thousands of Americans at risk.
In a security notice shared with the Office of the California Attorney General, Texas Capital Bank he says that a data breach exposes the confidential information of its customers.
Separate filing with the Texas Attorney General’s Office demonstrations 86,067 people have been affected by the accident. The financial institution has sent notification letters to the affected people.
The bank says on April 27 it discovered a “special event” that revealed names and security numbers.
“When we found out, we immediately took precautions, and this was resolved.
We have no proof that your content was accurate or misused. Our systems continue to operate efficiently and safely. Our customer accounts are secure. ”
The company is offering affected customers two years of credit monitoring and security services for Experian IdentityWorks. Interested parties should register by September 30.
A class action lawsuit can be had filed against the bank on behalf of the affected customers for damages due to loss of privacy, time spent on expenses and out-of-pocket expenses and the need for Texas Capital to take steps to protect customer information.
Texas Capital Bank, based in Dallas, has $33.4 billion in assets under management.
