Morgan Stanley’s chief financial officer believes new investment opportunities are coming amid the S&P 500 pullback.
In the Morgan Stanley Market Insights podcast, Mike Wilson he says that the stock market’s current share rotation will continue in the coming months and predict that new categories will begin to perform well.
“Identify this improvement quickly, because it often leads to a change in leadership, which is a real opportunity.”
We’ve already seen quite a bit of leadership rotation this year, from precious metals and primary to rare earths to energy, and finally, to semiconductors. Now I think the market may be ready to go higher again, as it was at the end of last year and the first six weeks of this year. ”
The expert says that the three new sectors show all the conditions that lead to future meetings, setting them up to post greater profits than other groups.
Most importantly, our favorite shares of consumer discretionary, transportation and regional banks have all risen more than 10% in the past month, while the S&P 500 has declined slightly.
However, opinions about these areas are still silent. That’s the kind I like: improving fundamentals, good price action and investors still skeptical. “
