Ethereum has struggled to regain momentum over the past few months, leaving many investors frustrated. However, several market experts believe that the long-term story of ETH is not over. With Wall Street increasingly embracing tokenization, stablecoins, and on-chain currencies, some analysts are predicting a big change for the world’s second largest cryptocurrency.
Here are the top predictions for 3 ETH and bulls.
Dan Tapiero, founder of 10T Holdings and One Roundtable Partners, has remained bullish on Ethereum despite its many years of activity.
Tapiero says the major crypto market could grow to about $50 trillion, while Bitcoin could reach a market cap of $20 trillion. In this scenario, it is expected that Ethereum will benefit greatly from the expansion of the digital economy and tokenization.
“It makes sense to me to think that ETH can do 5x to 10x,” he said.
According to Tapiero, the real-world financial exposure is still early, creating a huge long-term opportunity for Ethereum. Although he admits that the journey can be volatile and painful, he says that investors should focus on the big picture instead of short-term price changes.
He also reminded investors that ETH has already risen sharply from below $100 in 2020, proving that patience has already paid off.
2. Tom Dunleavy: ETH Could Reach $20,000 to $50,000
Crypto investor and former analyst Messari Tom Dunleavy said that Ethereum’s role as a leading blockchain tokenized asset can push prices significantly.
Dunleavy argues that if a multi-billion-dollar asset were to enter Ethereum, the internet’s digital assets would need to be appreciated in order to effectively protect the value.
“In the form of $750 billion to a trillion dollars of Ethereum’s wealth itself, you end up with an ETH price of $20,000 to $50,000.” said Dunleavy
He says predictions from companies such as VanEck and Standard Chartered may seem harsh today, but they will become reality if Ethereum continues to dominate tokenization and on-chain cash.
3. Tom Lee: Ethereum May Rise to $22,000
Co-founder of Fundstrat Tom Lee has remained one of Ethereum’s biggest bulls despite the stock’s long-term consolidation.
Lee thinks several triggers could drive ETH higher, including lower oil prices, lower inflation, a crypto-friendly White House, a possible Clarity Act, and growing institutionalization.
More importantly, Lee sees Ethereum as the backbone of the future economic revolution.
“Ethereum is the future of on-chain finance.” Lee said.
Using an estimate of Bitcoin’s price of about $250,000 and the historical history of Ethereum against Bitcoin, Lee makes: “If I use the long-term estimate of what we think the price of Bitcoin should be, it can bring you to $22,000 Ethereum.”
For Lee, Ethereum’s current price of around $2,300 still seems low compared to its long-term potential.
