Speaking on Futura Camp time Berlin Blockchain Week 2026, Coinpaid Dev CEO Alexey Tulia moderated the discussion on 11 years of experience working on more than 20 blockchain networks.
In an article titled “Dear Ethereum: The Building List After Years of Multitasking,” Tulia spoke from a team that has extensive experience building multiple chains and a deep understanding of how Ethereum works in the development community.
Why protocol teams and architectures need each other
His central argument was simple: protocol teams and infrastructure developers often solve different problems, but the industry makes more progress when both sides remain part of the same conversation.
“The protocol teams see where the network is going. The architecture teams see where the contention is happening,” You got it. “The most important changes often appear when those ideas meet.”
Functional problems of blockchain infrastructure
While industry discussions often focus on protocols, token economies and ecosystem growth, blockchain infrastructure teams face challenges such as network scalability, fee optimization, multi-tier reliability and service trade-offs that are evident at scale.
According to Tulia, many of the obstacles delaying adoption are only seen when systems operate at scale.
“Blockchain technology has matured beyond experimentation,” he said. “The challenge today is building systems that are reliable, predictable and efficient at scale, especially when network conditions and architecture decisions converge across multiple blockchain environments.”
Those ideas come from years of building and using blockchain tools in manufacturing environments.
Today, Coinpaid Dev brings together a team of over 120 experts working across blockchain architecture, distributed systems, cloud platforms, data analytics and cyber security.
Tulia also said that development staff need more visibility into the traffic flow, while protocol teams can benefit from solutions developed in the production environment.
The method, he said, is to strengthen feedback loops between the people building blockchain networks and the groups responsible for building and maintaining them.
