Ctrl Wallet Winds Down as Crypto Project Shutdowns Mount in 2026



Ctrl Wallet will be closed permanently on August 3, 2026, preventing transfers, exchanges, and in-app transactions.

The company announced the closure on July 7 and released the app to supermarkets the same day. Anyone who has already installed it can keep everything until August 2nd.

What Ctrl Wallet Shutdown Means for Users

Ctrl says the wallet is still working until August 2. Until that date, owners can continue normal work, including sending, receiving, and exchanging tokens, as well as sending their recovery statements.

As of August 3, the only task left is to send a recovery statement.

“We encourage you to send your recovery message as soon as possible, as we cannot guarantee how long the app will remain on your device,” the group said. he said.

Ctrl prompts two options before the deadline. Users can send their 12-word or 24-word returns, or move money to another location wallet or exchange.

The platform did not explain why it is shutting down. However, the decision comes after the June security issue which, according to the group, affected Cardano (ADA) small wallets on the platform.
