The White House shared a ninth video promoting Trump’s new currency on July 16, but it wasn’t cryptocurrency. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent unveiled a $1 gold coin honoring President Trump on America’s 250th anniversary.
The announcement caused a brief stir online, as the coin shares its name with TRUMP’s memecoin. The token traded close to $1.56 shortly after the video was published on X.
Coin Commemorates America’s 250th Anniversary
