Shareholders of Bitcoin (BTC) financial services company Satsuma Technology have voted to return the company’s capital and delist from the London Stock Exchange.
The shutdown increases pressure on digital asset treasury (DAT) companies. The model grew in 2025, when companies raised money to store Bitcoin. In 2026, low prices have forced several to sell instead.
Satsuma Shareholders Vote to End Bitcoin Economy
The pressure had been building for months. In April, Bloomberg report that investors are pushing Satsuma to end Bitcoin and shut down operations.
Pantera Capital Managementa well-known crypto venture fund, was among the investors. By then, the stock had fallen by 99% since June 2025.
The campaign became official in May. Shareholders who own more than 20% of the issued capital have applied voteaccording to the company’s filing.
Four directors recommended rejection, while two dissenting directors agreed with the rulings. This week, the company it has been confirmed 90.63% voted to refund and 90.59% to cancel the list.
Satsuma has 668 BTC worth about $43.5 million. This puts it as the second largest asset in the UK, behind The Smarter Web Company, according to Bitcoin Treasuries. data.

Satsuma is not alone. The problems of small companies began to appear after the October crash. In November, Sequans sold 970 Bitcoin, about 30% of what they havereducing variable debt.
Empery Digital too sold about 1,400 BTC, cutting his stack by about 48%. The sale came to a great owner, too. In June, Strategy released its Digital Credit Capital Framework.
