Crypto Price Today: Public Red

The market has a tough Tuesday. The global crypto market is worth about $2.23 trillion, down about 1.5% in the last 24 hours, with a trading volume of about $68.5 billion. Fear also stopped – the Fear & Greed Index dropped from 28 (Fear) to 22 (Extreme Fear).

Why Is The Crypto Market Down Today?

Two words: geopolitics and macro. The gains of the Crypto week gave way to a sell-off on Monday when the Middle East conflicts started again, and about $ 253 million in active positions were removed. Bitcoin fell below $62,000 after peaking around $64,500 earlier, as escalating US-Iran tensions added another risk to global markets.

The bigger picture remains worrisome: Bitcoin is down nearly 30% year-to-date and remains more than 50% below its October record.

What Are the Important Events Happening in Crypto Right Now?

Are institutional funds still buying dips? Yes – you are stubborn. Tom Lee’s BitMine increased its ether holdings to 5.77 million tokens, about 4.8% of the total ETH supply. On the ETF side, volatility to Ethereum has been impressive: ether ETFs recently saw $1.6 billion in inflows while Bitcoin ETFs saw around $175 million in outflows.

Where are the rules? The CLARITY Act – the crypto market building bill – is in the confirmation phase. The revised documents incorporate the recommendations of the Senate Banking and Agriculture Committees, but key points are still being debated, particularly on the ethics bill, so the timing of a Senate vote is uncertain. President Trump urged the Senate to pass the bill in honor of Senator Lindsey Graham, who died on July 11.

What else is on the radar?

  • New Hampshire passed the Blockchain Fundamentals Act, protecting crypto security, developers and miners, and introducing blockchain dispute resolution.
  • Circle’s 2026 Developer Grants awarded nearly half of the recipients from Africa and the Global South, with a focus on stablecoin payments and transfers.
  • Oil jumped in the wake of President Trump’s new sanctions on Iran, while Brent rose nearly 10% – a reminder that major shocks bleed directly into risk.

3 Events This Week That Could Unlock Bitcoin’s Impact

Buckle up – the next few days have been tormenting lives with help. Between July 13 and 19, crypto will enter one of the busiest weeks of 2026. Here are three of the most important.

1. Inflation Data: June CPI (Today) and PPI (Wednesday)

The theme event. Monthly CPI for June is expected to fall to 0.2% from 0.5% in May, and the annual average is expected to fall to 3.8% from 4.2%. A soft print revives cut hopes; hot keeps the pressure on the crypto. The Producer Price Index follows on Wednesday, July 15, to measure inflation and gather the picture ahead of the Fed’s next move.

Watch out: Fed Governor Christopher Waller warned that another strong reading of inflation could push the central bank toward tighter policy, saying he would take the big print as “a sign, not noise.” Following his comments, the probability of a September rate hike jumped to 51.6% on the CME FedWatch Tool.

2. Fed Chairman Kevin Warsh Testimony (July 14 & 15)

Arguably, the biggest swing factor. Warsh is testifying before the House Financial Services Committee on Tuesday and the Senate Banking Committee on Wednesday — his first appearance since taking over the presidency in May. At its June debut, it effectively killed the market that remained in 2026 and sent Bitcoin crashing, so every word will be tuned to determine what is to come.

3. The CLARITY Act Push

The regulatory support. Warsh’s leaning or compliance may lead to a useful rally that the market is waiting for; a hawkish tone and a stalled bill may add to the frustration. Deadline: August 7, 2026 is the last day of the Senate term before summer and campaign season.

And looking beyond this week: all this directly feeds the next meeting of the FOMC on July 28-29, 2026, where the decision will be made.

Crypto Future Price: Will Bitcoin Price Go Up?

Bitcoin is placed at the critical $60K level where three forces – high inflation, the Fed’s signalling, and the CLARITY Act – are pulling the market in different directions at the same time. It is the strongest concentration ever placed on a fragile market. The next 48 hours can set up the entire summer season.
