53,888 People’s Information at Risk After Healthcare Company Breached – Personal, Financial and Health Information May Be Exposed


The personal, financial and health information of 53,888 people may have been exposed after hackers breached a Mississippi healthcare company.

According to the US Department of Health and Human Services Office for Civil Rights, Singing River Health System report The hacking incident that affected 53,888 people, is a breach that affects a web server.

In a notice written on its website, Singing River says it found unauthorized access to its network and immediately launched an investigation with other cyber security experts. The health care provider also informed about the safety.

The investigation determined that an unauthorized group accessed Singing River’s systems between December 19 and December 21, 2025. The company says it later learned on February 10, 2026 that files containing patient information were accessed.

According to this notice, the information that may be disclosed may include names and one or more of the following: identification numbers, Social Security numbers, driver’s license numbers, dates of birth, bank account information, health insurance information, provider names, patient identification numbers, dates of employment, medical information and treatment or disease information.

In response to the incident, Singing River says it continues to review and strengthen its cyber security and provide additional security training to employees. The health care provider has also set up a dedicated call center to help victims.
