Binance Launches US Stock Trading with the upcoming bStocks Token on the BNB Chain

The new feature enables Binance users to trade more than 7,000 US stocks and ETFs using existing cryptocurrencies, including stablecoins like USDT and USDC, as well as Binance’s token, BNB. The exchange focuses on global trading availability by offering zero-commission trading with minimum shares starting at $5 minimum.

To facilitate this process and stay within the law, Binance has partnered with traditional financial institutions. The submission of buy and sell orders is handled by Nest Trading, a New York-based investment firm. Alpaca manages inventory, distribution, and corporate activities.

This model allows users to move traditional prices directly within the crypto app, which is running 24 hours a day, five days a week.

Although the rapid implementation provides a unified view of traditional assets, Binance Co-CEO Richard Teng confirmed that the second phase involves full tokenization. Scheduled to be released in the coming weeks, the “bStocks” platform will give users the opportunity to showcase their stocks.

Once converted into bStocks on the BNB Chain, these digital certificates can function as real-world assets (RWAs). This enables a unique look to the digital environment:

  • 24/7 availability: Moving stability from blockchain to blockchain allows for continuous trading outside of normal market hours.
  • DeFi Composability: Tokenized equities can be integrated into financial systems that have contractual lending, financing, and yield solutions.

According to Binance’s trading disclosure, bStocks are officially designated as certificates representing special financial instruments. They do not provide direct legal ownership or voting rights in state-owned companies, but they do reflect the economic and financial transparency of the shares.

Strategic Drive Towards Financial Super-App

The change reflects a growing industry where large digital platforms compete directly with traditional fintech brokerages such as Robinhood and Webull. By removing the hassle of entering multiple apps, Binance aims to capture more foreign exchange.
