Bitcoin $50,000 Crash Odds Hit 65% on Polymarket Amid Sharp Selloff


Polymarket traders are now giving a 65% chance that Bitcoin (BTC) will fall to $50,000 this year, after reading the heat of inflation sent the symbol to its lowest level since September 2024.

The odds of lower targets have risen recently, indicating that traders are now seeing the biggest downside possible.

Extreme Lows Cause a Selloff

Bitcoin fell to around $58,100 on Thursday, its the lowest since September 2024. The move followed an expected drop in prices.

The Personal Consumption Expenditures (PCE) index rose 4.1% year-on-year in May 2026.

The core gauge, which separates food and energy, reached 3.4%. The figure also undermined the ability of the Federal Reserve reduce interest rates.

The reversal of the price eliminated the variable position in the exchange. More than $1.26 billion in crypto assets were removed from 209,000 transactions.

Polymarket Odds Turn Strongly Bearish on Bitcoin

At this time, the attitude of the businessmen also changed. On Polymarket, the chance for Bitcoin to drop to $50,000 this year it has increased to 65%. The target near $55,000 had a higher resolution of 77%.

Both sessions are held on Fridays price around $59,900. That gap shows that traders now see a deeper slide as a base, not a tail risk.

A bearish trend dominates the market. The most recent move came at the $55,000 line, which jumped nearly 20 points.

However, the board is not one sided. The odds of Bitcoin regaining $70,000 this year have risen to 60%, a sign that some traders expect a return when the sale ends.

Meanwhile, some experts are looking at the lowest numbers. Arthur Hayes sees $40,000 down within six months. A Chinese miner Jiang Zhuoer near countrieslooking down to $42,000 to $44,000 by the end of 2026.

Whether the amount of 58,000 dollars stays down may depend on the Fed meeting in July. With the rise in inflation, the problem of wounds seems less.
