Bitget has launched Stock+, a new product that allows qualified users to buy real US stocks and ETFs using USDC and other digital assets, increasing the flexibility of exchanges between crypto currencies and market exposure.
TL; DR
- Bitget says Stock+ allows qualified users to buy real US stocks and cryptocurrencies.
- This feature sits within Bitget’s wider Stocks 2.0 ecosystem.
- Users pay for transactions with digital assets that are exchanged for settlement.
- The product is geofenced and should not be viewed as available worldwide.
In an official announcement, Bitget said Stock+ enables users to buy real US stocks directly using USDC and other digital assets. The company described its launch as part of its Universal Exchange strategy, which aims to allow users to move between crypto, cryptocurrency and stock market transactions within a single platform.
The difference between “real stocks” and index products. Crypto exchange they will offer more or less similar products, but they may vary in terms of design, rights and management. Bitget has announced the framework Stock+ as providing users with direct US stocks and ETFs, and crypto currencies using the investment layer.
Why This Design Part Is Important
The largest market has gone to the world of crypto exchange I don’t want to be the future and the future anymore. They want to be a multi-faceted platform where users can work stablecoinstrade crypto, find equities, buy tokens and move collateral on trade.
For users, complaints are easy. Someone sitting on USDC doesn’t want to move money through multiple banks and brokers before buying exposure to US equity. A crypto-backed product reduces that friction, especially in the right places.
For exchange, complaint and reservation. If a platform can offer crypto and traditional currencies in one place, users can save more money within the ecosystem. This is why things like Stock+ are so important even if they start small.
Regulatory Limits Still Making the Market
The main caveat is availability. Products that combine cryptocurrencies with US securities are highly dependent on licensing, brokerage relationships and regulatory restrictions. Bitget’s announcement includes a fair limit, and users in some major markets may not be able to access the feature.
This makes it easy for these “crypto users can now buy US stocks from anywhere” news and articles about where the exchange is going. These companies are trying to bridge the gap in the digital economy money and traditional market opportunities.
From a business perspective, the trend is worth watching because it is at the center of the real economy and the media coverage. Either through direct brokerage, tokenied equities or stablecoin-stable money, crypto platforms are trying to make the traditional economy digital bags.
