BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) has acquired 806,700 Bitcoin (BTC) worth approximately $63.7 billion. These are the key financial indicators of the BlackRock Bitcoin ETF.
This record follows nine consecutive trading days of incoming coins, during which IBIT added approximately 21,500 BTC. Demand for Bitcoin transparency regulators continues to grow as BTC trades near $78,000.
BlackRock’s IBIT Monitors the US Bitcoin Market ETF
The BlackRock fund now commands about 49% of the total US spot Bitcoin ETF stock. This puts it ahead of Fidelity’s FBTC and Grayscale’s GBTC.
The ETF was listed net entry on 48 of 62 sales days in Q1 2026. That totaled $8.4 billion for the quarter.
The purchase price started in mid-April. IBIT attracted $291.9 million on April 15 and $269.3 million on April 10, according to ETF movements data. That steady will pushed the total past 800,000 BTC sign for the first time.
In the broader market, US spot Bitcoin ETFs have reversed a four-month high. The group achieved $2 billion in four straight weeks of positive earnings. IBIT contributed about $1.7 billion of that total.
MicroStrategy Gets Big Head Again
Despite IBIT’s reputation, the fund is no longer the single largest Bitcoin company. Financial reports MicroStrategy Inc outperformed the ETF by 815,061 BTC on the balance sheet. The company regained the guidance it lost in Q2 2024.
The company run by Michael Saylor has done it they were bought badly this monthadding 13,927 BTC to nearly $1 billion on April 13 alone. The difference between the two is now around 8,300 BTC.
BlackRock is also expanding its portfolio of crypto assets. The asset manager recently filed an amended S-1 with the SEC for a Bitcoin investment ETF under the ticker BITA. The proposed investment can bring productivity through the IBIT connected communication system.
With IBIT and MicroStrategy continuing to add BTC, the competition between major institutional players could intensify through Q2.
