Bringing hardware signing into everyday life

As the first wearable, lifetime signature brand, UKey also envisions crypto backup and recovery with a battery-free NFC ring.

Hong Kong, July 10, 2026 – Ukey Limited, an independent brand of crypto users, today revealed Seed Ringthe most popular item in its Seed Saver line: an NFC recovery ring that you can wear every day.

Unlike hardware wallets that are built to be locked away in a drawer, UKey started doing something different from day one – creating hardware signature and self storage items that you can wear and fold in everyday life. The Seed Ring is an introduction to that idea. It will appear alongside the UKey first line, the details of which will be announced soon.

Because the ring

When it comes to self storage, what often determines whether your property will be safe isn’t how you sign – it’s how you keep your word. Photos, pictures, and papers that are lost or damaged remain one of the main reasons users lose or lose their money. Most hardware wallets pour their efforts into signing security and leave the question of how to keep the security to the user and paper.

The Seed Ring can be worn every day like a normal ring – just dial your phone to match and use.

UKey’s approach is to split the two: signing goes to a dedicated device, and backups go to a dedicated Seed list. The Seed Ring turns your recovery confirmation from a piece of paper forgotten in a drawer into something you wear on your wrist – ready with one bomb when you need it.

Three things define the Seed Ring

  • No battery, no connection, nothing running in the background. The ring does not have a battery; it slowly draws power when held close to an NFC phone, and stops responding when moved away. No back roads and remote connections.
  • Ceramic, designed for everyday wear. The high-strength ceramic coating resists scratches and everyday wear without blocking NFC – so you can wear it every day like a normal ring, instead of hiding it in a safe.

The high-strength ceramic coating resists scratches and everyday wear – worn as a ring, or on a chain.

  • Don’t keep seed words in simple words. The ring only contains the index, order, and checksum required for recovery – it does not store the seed text in plaintext. Even if the ring falls into someone else’s hand, all the seed words cannot be read.

More information on the Seed series is on the way

The Seed ring is the first item in the Seed group, not the whole story. Two other storage partners are lined up behind him: the Seed Cardcredit card type backups that slide into a wallet or card, and Seed Tititanium backup built to survive fire and water. Different brands, same idea – your recovery plan should fit your lifestyle, and none of them keep your seed word in simple terms. More information on the Seed Card and Seed Ti will follow UKey’s channels in the coming weeks.

The philosophy of UKey

In UKey’s view, something you wear on your wrist should be more secure than something in a drawer. These companies have been perfecting the signature part for years, but many people who lose their money lose the way they keep their word. What UKey wants to create is a backup and sign-in device that’s no longer just a cool, useful tool – but something you can wear and have with you.
