David Schwartz, CTO Emeritus of Ripple, who is known on X as @JoelKatz, has changed his picture to an ugly bear connected to FUZZY, a meme coin on the XRP Ledger (XRPL), which criticizes the legitimacy and responsibilities that come with influence.
The changes came in force because Schwartz had taken action against the meme currency as a currency a few weeks earlier. His new avatar made this place difficult to maintain.
From Trust Lines to Avatars
Schwartz first attracted attention when he launched the FUZZY trust line, a token inspired by the popular XRPL wallet Fuzzybear, which entered the social media space with a popular exchange system. He was quick to explain that the step was purely technical. Adding a credit line, he argued, is an online activity and should not be read as your endorsement.
He is the one it is called meme coin investing offensive in direct terms, pushing back against the fictional community XRP images Ledger token as a big thing. His preparation enabled him to distinguish between technical involvement and any human intervention.
Image editing does not have that technical protection. Critics have argued that avatar editing is a deliberate, voluntary act without any technical justification. Several commentators have argued that the concepts used by Schwartz to define the trust line section cannot be extended to cover his X profile.
The prices of meme coins have been in line with the highest natural signals. Even an obscure move from a person with Schwartz’s advantage can translate into real pressure to buy in low-value tokens.
Who Has the Danger
The writing goes beyond the optics. When a celebrity publicly associates themselves with a small business, some investors see the move as an endorsement and buy-in. The person who started the interest is not responsible for the consequences.
A Running Ripple CTO PHNIX earlier this year he demonstrated that model. Prices peaked at the signal and then reversed, leaving behinds visible.
Schwartz has built a loyal following over the years The price of XRP shares and he has denied that crypto offers a lot of wealth possibility. Within the meme coin space, strong figures can have a significant impact on the markets, and observers often analyze their reactions or report on their impact.
