Fundstrat’s Tom Lee Suddenly Raises Year-End Target for S&P 500, Reveals Five Favorite Shares in the Company.

The head of research and co-founder of investment management firm Fundstrat says the firm has set a year-end target for the S&P 500.

Tom Lee he says that six months after predicting that the stock market will end 2026 at 7,000, Fundstrat is now bullish that the S & P 500 will go to the top and hit the 8,000 mark.

“To go back a little bit in December, we called for the S&P to be at 7,700 but we said that the market would face a wall of uncertainty with the new Fed. At that time, we said that the market could gain 12%. That’s how we got to 7,700.”

Lee he says the bull market is still very good even though the S&P is now lower than it was on January 1st.

“This is a year of change but in 2027, we could be seeing gains in the market that we’ve never seen in our lifetime so I think you still want to look big.”

Lee he says his favorite sectors are technology, financials, industrials, micro and energy/primary materials. As for the main drivers of gross domestic product (GDP) in 2026, the official said AI, energy, infrastructure, Wall Street moving to blockchain and on-shoring.
