Financial services firm Morgan Stanley reveals some trading opportunities outside of the tech sector.
In the new interview and CNBC Television, Kathleen Entwistle, Morgan Stanley’s private equity director and consultant, says the bank is changing their clients by investing in energy, gold, and infrastructure.
“Everyone who has been involved in the market is very happy at the moment. The question is, whether you can continue to find opportunities or not. And we think there is an opportunity there. You have to be careful and a little bit more careful about where you go…
Where is the opportunity, say outside of the tech industry? The buyer says we want to diversify. We don’t want to be in chips and meta and all that.
We’re putting customers in the real deal right now. So we’re also looking at electronic infrastructure, things like that, the digital space. So I think that’s an area that we can look at. “
Entwistle goes on to explain what he means by the bank investing the customer’s money in “real assets.”
“When we think about real estate, we think about things that are inside the market, mostly outside the market, but we like hedge funds.
We like, as you know, gold and silver and things like that. We love the power and the different parts that can best respond to the market we are in. “
