🟠 Paul Tudor Jones Calls Bitcoin Strongest Falling Hedge

In an interview Tuesday on the Invest Like the Best podcast, Paul Tudor Jones called Bitcoin the strongest inflation hedge there isputting it right on top of the gold.

The idea is straightforward: the availability of gold increases every year; Bitcoin is not. During the economic and financial crisis, he said, Bitcoin is the most famous inflation trade, citing the rise of 2020 as the most famous example. “Bitcoin is the best inflation hedge there is – better than gold,” he said.

His comments on the economy were a little different. He said that the recent reading of the S&P 500 reminds him of the 2000 dot-com bubble. The stock market relative to GDP is near historic highs. He warned that “it will be very difficult to find money” in stocks in the next decade, and added that a major correction of the market could damage the federal interest rate by falling income tax and disrupting the bond market.

📉 Robinhood’s HOOD Stock Dips as Crypto Revenue Falls

Robinhood report results for Q1 2026 on Tuesdaynon-financial and financial comparisons. Total revenue came in at $1.07 billion versus the consensus of $1.14 billion. Net income of $346 million ($0.38/share) was less than expected. Shares fell 6% after hours and are down 10% in premarket trading.

The driver of the loss is straightforward: crypto currency income fell 34% quarter-over-quarter to $134 million, and 47% year-on-year, following Bitcoin’s 22% price decrease at the same time.

The omission is notable because the entire business continued. The prediction markets, futures, and index options were all posted in Q1. Equities and options grew by double digits. Unfortunately, HOOD’s money is closely related to the price of BTC, and the stock has followed BlackRock’s IBIT more than the S & P 500 for most of 2026. The recovery of Q2 in crypto prices, if it holds, should be shown in the next edition.

🔥 Pump.fun Burns $370M in Tokens, Promises New Purchases

Pump.pleasing to be done a renewing the main sign on Tuesdayburning about $370 million worth of PUMP tokens (about 36% of the circulating supply). The burn covers all tokens collected in nine months of 100% refund.

At the same time, Pump announced the new purchase and burning of PUMP tokens using 50% of the funds. They will use a smart contract to lock in 50% of the total proceeds from Bonding Curve, PumpSwap, and Terminal to buy on the open market and burn next year. The remaining 50% will fund operations and growth.

In comparison, Pump.fun has seen great success. In the past few years, Pump has:

  • He raised $500 million in 12 minutes through his $PUMP campaign
  • Over $1 billion in lifetime platform revenue
  • It has made hundreds of billions in business.

But despite providing 100% of the purchase price, the group said a lack of trust began around what the purchased tokens would be used for. The hope is that this new temperature removes that uncertainty forever (or for next year).

🤖 CFTC Uses AI to Monitor Crypto Applications

CFTC Chairman Mike Selig told CoinDesk that the agency is building AI tools to review crypto subscription services and monitor trading marketsas a direct response to losing more than 20% of their workforce under the Trump administration’s cutbacks.

The current policy is complete with documents that are reviewed by staff. The new system will provide an incomplete flag, prompt response, and reject incomplete files. Employees are currently being trained on Microsoft Copilot as in-house conversion data and market analysis tools are developed.

Selig identified the CFTC/SEC digital taxonomy tax regulation as the most important crypto strategy of his administration, putting market participants “in the know” about the agency’s operations. In particular, the SEC has nearly five times the staff of the CFTC, while the CFTC’s work is rapidly expanding to cover crypto, prediction markets, and derivatives. The hope is that AI can help fix these differences…

🇺🇸 Polymarket Is Trying To Come Back To The US

Polymarket is in talks with the CFTC to lift the ban on US traders from its largest global exchange, Bloomberg reported on Tuesday.

The ban has been in effect since 2022 when Polymarket paid a $1.4 million fine and agreed to withdraw from the US market after operating an unregistered platform. A separate US-only Polymarket platform received CFTC approval in November following the acquisition of the company’s registered exchange, but the platform has yet to be fully implemented.

A CFTC vote is required to lift the ban. With four commissioner seats currently up for grabs, Chairman Selig is the lone candidate, which could make approval easier. If removed, Polymarket’s largest exchange would compete directly with Kalshi on the US market for the first time.
