Oman Launches National Bitcoin Mining Pool In State-Backed Push For Regulatory Control

Oman has taken one of the most direct steps by any government to bring bitcoin mining under government supervision, establishing a national mining pool that licensed operators across the Sultanate must join.

The pool, Omanhash.com, was launched by Oman’s Ministry of Transport, Communications and Technology and will be operated in partnership with Frontier Technologies LLC, an Omani blockchain company and Web3.

Enegix Global, an integrated energy and infrastructure company, he built technology platform and fluid infrastructure behind it. The company called it the national cryptocurrency mining pool of the Sultanate of Oman.

Under the legal framework, Omanhash.om is the only official and mining pool for all licensed cryptocurrency companies in the country. The pool is expected to include about 10 exahashes per second of computing power in its initial phase – a measure of all the computational work that is focused on protecting the Bitcoin network and, by extension, creating new currencies.

That hashrate affects Bitcoin directly. The more and more control hashrates become in the national system, the more visible the government becomes. mining feesenergy consumption, and the flow of new bitcoin. It seems that the country is not trying to stop or stop the work – it is pulling in a more stable, correct way.

Mining in Oman

This country has become one of the most active jurisdictions in the world To kill on the economy of industrial mines from 2022, when the ministry established a $ 370 million hydro-cooled mine in Salalah.

The total cost of mining and data centers in the Salalah Free Zone has exceeded $ 700 million, including two major offices built in 2022 and 2023. Alps Blockchain, an Italian company, brought a 150 MW facility to Salalah to work in mid-2025. Oman’s Omanhash.om shows the next phase of the government: pulling the accumulation of energy into a well-managed national infrastructure.

For Enegix, the position is its second independent contract. The company he built and operates btcpool.kz in Kazakhstan, where the 2023 digital economy law requires licensed miners to operate through state-approved pools and report to tax authorities using automated systems.

The addition of Omanhash.om enables Enegix pool performance at around 25 EH/s across three pools.

“This is our second order, and it confirms the model we have been building since Kazakhstan,” said Olzhas Amirov, director of business development of Enegix Global in the company’s press release, saying that the licensing process helps miners to work legally, avoid taxes, and communicate with regulators.

Oman’s approach contrasts with regimes that have pushed back against mining with outright restrictions or tax burdens. Instead, the sultanate has set up mining within a broader, more diversified financial system – and now it’s adding a central bank that keeps bitcoin production within national controls.

Enegix says its next goal is to increase its pool hashrate to 30 EH/s.
