Robinhood Plans To Allow AI Agents To Trade Crypto For US Customers



Robinhood will soon allow eligible US customers to connect an artificial intelligence (AI) agent to a dedicated account and trade crypto on their behalf.

The retailer announced the expansion at a recent presentation, adding crypto to the offerings it first opened in May.

Agetic Trading To Crypto

Robinhood launched Agetic Trading on May 27, initially in beta with only equity support. At the time, the company said crypto, event contracts, and futures would follow.

The the latest announcement confirms it crypto is next. Connected agents will also provide real-time profit-and-loss tracking and push notifications already built into business processes.

Customers open a separate account and pay directly. The provider automatically earns the money, and users can withdraw it at any time. Agents communicate via Robinhood’s Model Context Protocol servers.

Initial demand has been overwhelming. More than 70,000 accounts have been opened in the first few weeks, a Robinhood executive revealed during the presentation.

“This is another big step in giving advertisers every opportunity that organizations have had for years,” he said he said.
