Michael Saylor’s strategy seems to have rediscovered Bitcoin (BTC) passion.
The company he announced today he bought 1,550 BTC for $101 million, increasing his total wealth to 845,256 Bitcoin.
Strategic purchases are made once a week he announced Its first BTC sale since 2022, hawking 32 BTC worth $2.47 million.
The sale changed the tone of the Strategy after Saylor spent years urging investors not to “sell” their BTC.
He said that the sale could happen, however, meaning in a recent order that the company “could sell Bitcoin to fund the market – just to send a message that we did it.”
Saylor, a well-known Bitcoin evangelist, was mostly quiet about selling on social media. They usually announce the company’s weekly purchase of BTC at X.
In this week’s announcement, Saylor said that Strategy has also increased its investment by US$100 million to US$1.0 billion.
The company’s stock rose more than 6% on Monday, but has fallen 10% in the past five days and is down nearly 32% in the past month.
The price of Bitcoin also suffered last week, falling more than 10% in the past seven days. The top crypto asset by market value has risen more than 2.5% in the last 24 hours.
