Startale is expanding in Abu Dhabi through Hub71

The Startale Group is expanding in Abu Dhabi after being appointed to the Digital Assets group at Hub71, according to information shared with Finbold on Monday, April 20.

The move will see Startale set up operations within the Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM), a financial hub that has pioneered the digital economy and attracted a growing number of international blockchain companies. The Hub71 program is supported by Mubadala and the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development.

Startale was selected as one of 27 companies from more than 2,400 applicants worldwide. According to the company, its participation in Hub71 places it among the most active partners, investors, and regulators involved in the creation of Abu Dhabi’s digital assets.

“Hub71 and Abu Dhabi Global Market provide the clarity and global reach we need to successfully optimize the Startale ecosystem”, said Sota Watanabe, CEO of Startale Group. “Abu Dhabi is becoming an important destination for the digital economy, and joining this group allows us to expand the markets of the East and the West, working together with regulators and partners”.

Growth follows the flow of money and the development of the environment

The Abu Dhabi expansion follows Startale’s $63 million Series A funding, which the company said will support blockchain development and stablecoin infrastructure in regulated markets.

Startale is building Soneium through Sony Block Solutions Labs, a partnership with Sony Group Corporation. The company is also advancing Strium and stablecoin initiatives, including JPYSC, in partnership with SBI Group, along with its USDSC stablecoin and Startale App.

Under the Hub71+ Digital Assets program, Startale plans to expand three areas of its ecosystem: blockchain infrastructure through Soneium and Strium, its Startale App, and its stablecoin startup USDSC (USDSC) and JPYSC.

“We are delighted to welcome the Startale Group into Hub71’s Cohort 18. Their focus on digital platforms reflects the strength of our ecosystem and how startups are choosing Abu Dhabi as a starting point for global growth. We look forward to supporting their growth,”aid Divya Claudia Nair, Founder of the Startup Journey at Hub71.

Startale said it plans to deploy staff to Abu Dhabi and work closely with regulators, investors, and partners through Hub71 as it expands into the Middle East and global markets.
