The $1,000 invested in the US first XRP ETF at launch is now worth it

A $1,000 money in the Canary Islands XRP images ETF (NASDAQ: XRPC), the first US spot XRP exchange-traded fund (ETF), is now worth about $471, which represents a loss of more than 50% since the fund was launched on November 13, 2025.

The drop comes despite the historic fund attracting $250 million in inflows and generating $58 million in sales on its first day, making it the strongest ETF in 2025.

Investors who bought XRPC at its initial price of $24.55 per share would have received an average of 40.73 shares. With the ETF closing at $11.57 on Friday, its value has fallen to $471.

After debuting at $24 per share, XRPC entered a downward spiral that at one point saw losses of more than 56% from its initial launch. In this line, where the place crypto currency ETFs facilitate access to digital assets, they do not reduce the volatility associated with the underlying indices.

The ETF was established to provide exposure to XRP by holding crypto currency directly in prison.

Its arrival was a major milestone for both XRP and the broader digital economy, opening the door for traditional investors to acquire the token without using a crypto exchange or managing private wallets.

The success of the launch was quickly followed by competing offerings from providers including Bitwise, Grayscale, Franklin Templeton, and 21Shares, demonstrating institutional interest in XRP-linked financial services.

However, the fund’s performance has followed XRP’s long-term weakness. Since the end of 2025, the cryptocurrency has been under pressure from high market uncertainty, low risk, and profit taking after the start of the ETF-driven rally.

Despite the decline, XRPC continues to operate as a direct vehicle for XRP with an annual fee of 0.50% and a plan to maintain the market value of the token.

Whether the fund can recover will largely depend on the future price of XRP, the management of the system. art.
