Donald Trump’s administration on Friday installed a new administration website dedicated to unidentified activities, or UAPs, releasing what officials describe as the first wave of unclassified files tied to decades of UFO research.
The new site includes videos, photos, and government documents that are scattered across government agencies or groups.
According to the Department of Defense, a to release marks the launch of the Presidential Unsealing and Reporting System for UAP Encounters, or PURSUE, a joint effort by the White House, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, the Department of Energy, NASA, the FBI, and the Pentagon’s All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office, known as AARO.
“As part of my promise to the American people, the Department of Defense has released the first batch of UFO and UAP files for review and study,” Trump said. he wrote on Truth Social. “For transparency and clarity, I have directed my administration to identify and release government files related to alien and extraterrestrial life, unidentified space vehicles, and unidentified flying objects.”
The launch follows months of maneuvering by the Trump administration around the UAP broadcast. In March, the White House registered the site aliens.govwhich is fueling speculation that a UFO museum is coming.
The existence of UAPs, the government’s preferred term for UFOs, has entered into major political and national security debates in recent years such as congressional debates. to hearmilitary research, and testimony from former officials added pressure for transparency.
People’s interest increased in 2024 following the drone wave facts across the US, with videos confirmed by the Pentagon showing unexplained space objects behaving strangely.
Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said the release of the new website is part of the government’s push to increase access to the government’s UAP record.
“The Department of War is standing by President Trump to ensure our government’s understanding of Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena,” Hegseth said in a statement. “These files, hidden behind the scenes, have been fueling right-wing ideas for too long—and it’s time for the American people to see for themselves.”
While praising the site’s launch, NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman said the agency would “follow the incident” and “remain positive” about the undisclosed information.
“At NASA, our mission is to bring the brightest ideas and the most advanced scientific tools to bear, track what we learn, and share what we learn,” Isaacman said in a statement. “We’ll be sure about what we know to be true, what we don’t have to understand, and everything that remains to be discovered.” Research and the pursuit of knowledge are central to NASA’s mission as we strive to uncover the mysteries of the universe.
