Venus Protocol Launches Tokenized Stocks as Collateral on the BNB Chain

For the first time on Venus, tokenized properties can be used as collateral and store price movements.
Venus Protocol today launched the first stock market on the BNB Chain, including Binance stocks (bStocks) in the Venus Core Pool. This implementation shows the expansion of what the on-chain lending markets can support: stocks with tokens are no longer passive, they can act as collateral within DeFi.

What You Can Do with bStocks on Venus

Eligible users can contribute bStocks to the Venus Core Pool as collateral, keeping track of the price movements of tokenized assets while unlocking on-chain borrowing power. Those positions can be used to borrow any asset in the Venus Core Pool, including stablecoins such as USDT, USDC, and U, as well as other listed tokens without trading.

Venus Core Pool is the largest lending market on the BNB Chain. With bStocks listed alongside BTC, ETH, BNB, and major stablecoins, tokenized stocks are now participating in a multi-billion-dollar on-chain lending, part of the mainstream, not a stand-alone thing.

The addition of bStocks follows the growth of the stock symbol on Venus. Previous trading markets, including XAUm, have shown the importance of using real-world assets within DeFi. With bStocks, Venus expands the brand from commodities to commodities, expanding the number of stocks that can participate in stock markets.

Built Across the BNB Chain Ecosystem

This implementation shows the central cooperation in the BNB Chain ecosystem, where Venus is the central lender.

Binance offers token creation tools: users can convert Direct Stock stocks to bStocks without payment, or buy them directly on Binance Spot. PancakeSwap and Trust Wallet provide access to the money market of the stock market. Once stored in a self-contained wallet, bStocks can be assigned to Venus or sent as collateral, completing the process from stock exposure to DeFi participation.

“Branded goods are becoming a real bridge between traditional finance and chain construction, not just an idea, but a practical thing.” By allowing users to obtain funds against their non-trading positions without trading, the Venus Protocol expands the way collateral is seen on the BNB Chain. – Leon, Head of BD, Venus Protocol

Slow Release

The initial release supports a small portion of the economy under the fixed risks imposed by the rulership of Venus. Any development of additional stocks or similar markets can be determined through the rulership of Venus.

Many Risk Factors

Capital is at risk.

Indexed products represent exposure to bearish markets and may be affected by market volatility, trading hours, corporate actions, and other factors related to the underlying economy. Their prices also depend on third-party providers, market makers, available funds, and group price feeds.

The lease can be canceled automatically without notice if the collateral falls below the appropriate level.

Participation is subject to eligibility requirements, location restrictions, entry criteria, and Terms of Use. The rights associated with the shares holding the tokens may differ from those associated with the direct ownership of the underlying assets.
