Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse just made an interesting statement. Speaking on Crypto in America podcast with reporter Eleanor Terrett, Garlinghouse suggested that XRP holders could receive “something special” tied to the Ripple IPO.
However, Garlinghouse was specific about the timing of Ripple’s IPO, calling it “unnecessary”. He mentioned the inefficiencies associated with crypto all people lists, pointing to BitGo, Gemini, and Kraken’s delayed IPO plans as evidence that the public market place is not good.
Being private, he laughed, and allowed him to talk without the lawyers breathing down his neck. But when Terrett insisted that XRP images shareholders benefit primarily from future IPOs, Garlinghouse is no exception; he leaned into it, saying that more natural enhancements could be made. “We think this is good for the community,” he said.
